Early Childhood Education and Development
Walusimbi Namande Mugerwa Sarah is a Graduate Teacher Trainer with specialized training in Early Childhood Education and Development. She accumulated experience in this area as an Early Childhood Education and primary school teacher. She has also been lecturing at Kyambogo University specializing in Early Childhood Education and Development. She has been involved in research in the area of Early Childhood. She is an expert designing and developing Instructional materials for Early Childhood Care and Development as well as Monitoring and Evaluation of ECD programs. She has also participated in consultancy work for the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC), Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES), Directorate of Education Standards (DES), Monitoring implementation of EGR and Reading-to-Learn (RtL), Joint monitoring of UTSEP/GPE intervention, Kyambogo University in matters relating to ECD. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Education (ECD) and Language Education and Degree of Master of Education in Curriculum Studies of Makerere University. She is now currently undertaking a program leading to award of a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Early Childhood Studies of Mount Kenya University, Kenya.
